Hello Wonderful, Wacky Mrs. Harner's Multi-age,
I was so intrigued with you Alphabet Countdown blog. My name is Betsy Blogger and I love to share my adventures with other bloggers. What fun you are having counting the last days of school using the alphabet BACKWARDS!
Just the other day I was in Zephyrhills, Florida. Not many cities begin with the letter Z. Zephyrhills is south of Gainesville, straight down I-75. We are famous for our Zephyrhills bottled water. Maybe some of you have had some. It is very good.
Then I found myself traveling to Texas and thought you might be interested in the only state with the letter X in it. Not many words begin with 'X' but many words have an 'x' in them. Texas is in the Southwest of the USA (that stands for United States of America). Texas is one of the largest states and they have many different habitats. Here is a website you and your teachers may find very interesting about Texas animals and habitats.
Next I found myself in the great state of Wyoming. Wyoming is much further north than Texas
I know I skipped the letter 'Y', but that was because I wanted to do a double duty with Wyoming. Not only does the state of Wyoming begin with 'W' and 'y', but the great Yellowstone National Park is in Wyoming. Talk about a fabulous place for habitats. I think there might be a zillion (not really). Check out this website for Yellowstone National Park. Also I hope you enjoy the Wyoming for Kids site.
Can't wait to hear about your 'V' and 'U' days. I wonder what you will be doing.
