Mrs. Harner's Wonderful, Wacky, Waddley Kids

Hello there in blog land. Today was 'W' day and we learned about wetlands for our habitat research. We read about a dragonfly and a frog. Wetlands must have water, air, food and shelter for the animals. Some of the animals that live in wetlands are fish, turtles, ducks, water striders, frogs, snails, dragonflies, bats, and birds. Some plants that live in wetlands are cattails, grasses, trees and lily pads. We read a good book about wetlands called All Eyes on the Pond by Michael J Rosen. It had lots of wetland animals and very pretty pictures. We highly recommend this book.
For 'W' day fun we ate some delicious, sweet, delectable, wet watermelon. Mmmmmmmmm good! We waddled and wiggled on the playground. We wore lots of white and some of us remembered to wear a watch.
We didn't get to write a message yesterday so here is what happened on 'X' day. We ate Trix cereal for snack and had extra recess. We saved an extra special snack from Mrs. Anhalt's birthday for today. They were extra yummy glazed doughnuts. Thank you Mrs. Anhalt.
Tomorrow is 'V' day and we are going to eat more healthy vegetables for our snack. Also we are going to read about Viola Swamp.
Wonderfully Yours,
Mrs. Harner's Wild, Wacky, Wiggly, Wobbly , Wonderful Kids.
